Read the event recap from Carla Salvagno, our team member who works closely with the Little Big Steps family to make these events a reality.
Purpose: As the second ever event for Little Big Steps this event was aimed to bring more awareness to the incredible work the charity is doing. The afternoon saw an inspiring presentation by world-renowned Michael Crossland, a panel discussion from families who have experienced their own battle with cancer and an exciting auction to raise much needed funds for the next ‘little big steps’ in this grassroots charity’s journey.
Result: Over $30,000 was raised which will make sure that Little Big Steps can provide a fitness tracker to all primary school aged kids diagnosed with cancer this year! Not only was the fundraising result outstanding but with 75% guests new to the #littlebigstepstribe a significant amount of awareness was raised about the importance of exercise medicine during cancer treatment and recovery.
Our Involvement: Showtime Event Group was very proud to, for the second time, come on-board as an event supporter. Following the amazing evening of the Little Big Steps Springaling at Cargo Hall in September 2018 we could not wait to get involved once again by supporting this unique and special charity where possible.
As part of our dedication to the wider community we have a range of food & beverage packages that are offered to not for profit and charity organisations. We understand the purpose of the cause and importance of fundraising is the biggest part of each event so we have designed these packages to assist in keeping costs down. While the price is low the quality of the food & beverage is not, our Executive Head Chef Vasantha Caldera has worked tirelessly with our key suppliers to provide the highest quality ingredients producing restaurant quality dishes.
Final Word: Springaling is back on South Wharf for the second year in a row!
Following the SOLD OUT 2018 event Little Big Steps will be hosting the 2nd annual event in Showtime Events Centre, make sure you check out littlebigsteps.org.au to keep an eye out for tickets releases as this event is sure to once again sell out.
