‘Uncover Melbourne’ Hosted Buyers Reception – Event Recap

‘Uncover Melbourne’ Hosted Buyers Reception – Event Recap

For the opening night of the Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo, guests were taken on a journey to one of Melbourne’s newest event spaces, The Timber Yard.

Showtime Event Group was proud to host the event alongside some of Melbourne’s best and brightest in the events industry. Showcasing an evening of style, entertainment and great taste.

As a part of the Uncover Melbourne series, Showtime Event Group aimed to create a night that left guests pleasantly surprised, breaking away from the typical event format. Attendees were all picked up from their respective hotels across Melbourne (provided with a cocktail for the journey of course) and brought down to the industrial Port Melbourne. A rugged alleyway served as the entrance point to a cavernous warehouse, where guests were greeted with canapes and music from the talented Angus Legg.

As remaining guests arrived, performances continued, from a group of break-dancers to a saxophone tap-dancing trio, before brief speeches from Melbourne Lord Mayor, Sally Capp as well as the Melbourne Convention Bureau’s CEO, Karen Bolinger, followed by the big reveal…

As the warehouse doors opened, attendees flooded through into the open-air space where the real festivities began.

Three beautifully themed food stations aligned the tea-crate wall, Ceviche Remix, The Striploin Steak and the build you own Strawberry Dessert – all of which were instant hits. Soulful singers set the tone for the evening of casual networking, food and fun, allowing guests to get to know the various industry professionals from Australia and Asia-Pacific in a stress-free environment.

A big thank you to the event partners on the night,
