Hosted Buyers and Media will be welcomed to the Asia Pacific Incentives Meetings Event (AIME) on Sunday Night at the newly renovated State Library Victoria, the event hosted by the Melbourne Convention Bureau and Showtime Event Group.
The Sunday program ‘Uncover Melbourne’ takes Hosted Buyers and Media to various parts of the city, discovering the urban sprawl and laneways, with the Sunday evening welcome event then elevating to a gala experience.
The formal event will showcase the CBD’s newest gala event space and pay homage to the historic Melbourne landmark.
In 2020, this event will be held at the State Library Victoria which just last year completed its ambitious $88.1m Vision 2020 redevelopment. Hosted Buyers and Media have been asked to ‘dress up’ for the Gala evening to be held in The Ian Potter Queen’s Hall, which up until now has been closed to the public for the past 16 years.
‘We love presenting the Sunday Night welcome event for the Melbourne Convention Bureau. It’s a great way for us to showcase Melbourne to the selected buyers and media, and the newest venues in our portfolio.’
‘We’re very proud of The Ian Potter Queen’s Hall and all the new event spaces in the State Library. It really is Melbourne newest events hub with 11 spaces able to cater for a very wide range of events from small meetings through to gala receptions. Brad Dabbs, General Manager, Showtime Event Group.
The event is hosted by the Melbourne Convention Bureau, and presented in collaboration with their Strategic Partner, Showtime Event Group, who are the exclusive caterer and event partner to the State Library.
This will be the third year in a row that Showtime Event Group have presented the exclusive Sunday night welcome. In 2018 the event was held at the Old Melbourne Gaol, and 2019 at The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne.
